Dear Prospective Delegates,

My name is Kenny Fischer and it is my honor to serve as the Secretary-General for the fifteenth Cornell International Affairs Conference (CIAC). On behalf of our entire Secretariat team, we would like to invite you to join us for our conference from October 17-20, 2024.

We have made some significant changes to our conference based on feedback from CIAC XIV. This includes expanding our specialized committee offerings, and adding a more exciting social event that we hope you are looking forward to!

The delegate experience is the center of CIAC’s efforts. We constantly strive to introduce creative and challenging committees and make our conference as enjoyable for you as possible. Our changes in conference structure, recruitment, and training, will enable us to have larger crisis staffs, and make sure our staff are trained thoroughly. We will also be exploring improved building locations among many other things to make CIAC XV the best one yet!

To new delegates, welcome! We hope that you will enjoy your time at CIAC and that it may challenge you, regardless of your Model UN experience. CIAC prioritizes remaining accessible and inclusive and we are very enthusiastic about welcoming you to our conference.

To returning delegates, thank you and welcome back! CIAC’s growth and consistent improvement would not be possible without your feedback and support. Our goal is always to get better each and every year. We hope this year’s conference will continue to be an enjoyable experience for you all.

Until October, should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me (sg@ciaconline.org) or any of our Secretariat members via email. We are eagerly preparing for your arrival.

Sincerely,

Kenny Fischer, Secretary-General
